sampleES pressing the 240m ceiling
Aug 21, 2026 · 4 min
Session structure
ES opened inside the prior balance and pushed straight into the 240m resistance shelf by the second hour, spending most of the session leaning on it rather than accepting through. Volume built at the level but didn’t convert into a clean break — the kind of grind that usually resolves with a flush before continuation.
Resistance held on the third test. Profile stacked bearish above value, single prints below — the level is doing its job.
Below, the overnight low sits directly on top of a low-volume node from Tuesday’s rotation. That confluence is the first real magnet if sellers take control — the market rarely leaves single prints unrevisited for long.

Zoomed out, this is still a range-bound tape. The 240m level has rejected price twice this week without a retest of the range low, which keeps the profile lopsided rather than resolved.
What we’re watching
A clean acceptance above the 240m shelf on rising volume flips the read — that opens the door to the untested supply zone from three sessions back. Until then, we’re treating rallies into the level as sell-the-test setups, not breakout entries.
Structure favors fade-the-level until proven otherwise. Acceptance, not a wick, is what changes the profile.
